Softball Majors

Softball Majors is a fourth tier level league of softball where our goal for the player is to continue to build upon the fundamentals of hitting, fielding and throwing along with learning the basic rules of softball.  

  • Age:  11-12 year olds
  • Team:  10-12 players each.
  • Hitting:  Kid-pitch only.
  • Equipment:  All players need a bat and glove and helmet.
  • Uniform:  Players will receive a jersey and visor.  The jersey is returned at the end of the season.  Players provide pants and socks.
  • Field Size: Games are played on a 60-foot base path and teams will play 9 players (three outfielders).
  • Field Type:  Games are played on a turf or grass/dirt field
  • Practices:  Field practices are 3-4 times per week, starting in March and are approximately 1.5-2.0 hours each, including batting cage time.
  • Games:  There are 20-24 games which start in mid-March.  Game locations vary between North Seattle to Woodinville.
  • Ball Type:  12 inch optic yellow hard softball
  • Team Formation:  Teams are formedby player tryout and draft.
  • Post-Season Games:  There is a post-game tournament.  All girls are eligible to apply for All Stars.
